 Number requests were accommodated to the greatest degree possible.  High school numbers can only use the digits 0-5, so requests like 77 could not be fulfilled.  The goal was to avoid duplicate numbers a level up or down from any team, so that players can play up or down as needed during the season without number conflicts.  When a number request could not be fulfilled, an attempt was made to use similar numbers, doubles (e.g. 22 for 2) or reverse numbers (e.g. 42 for 24).  If none of those approaches worked, an available, unused number was selected.
